RARITY - YWAIN Merlot 2004

2004 was particularly characterized by a very long and mild autumn, which made the harvest very uncomplicated. As the summer days were not hotter than average, we were able to bring grapes with a nice acidity into the cellar, which is particularly evident in the Gambero Rosso tasting notes:

They need time to open up and become accessible, but then they reveal all their character and personality. Like the Ywain '04, one of the best Merlot of this vintage in Italy - a mineral, elegant, almost aristocratic wine, juicy, long and very young on the palate with its lovely acidity and soft tannins. In addition, the 2004 Ywain was the first vintage to be filled with glass stoppers! So - guaranteed no cork fault :)

Since we don't fine our wines today or in the past, older red wines can have a larger deposit. It's best to slowly pour 3/4 of the bottle. Sip the last sip carefully or filter the last quarter through a thin cloth.
